Mr. Cipriani’s extensive business acumen began with his career in finance at Manufactures Hanover Trust Company. Thereafter, he was employed in the area of Trade Finance by Chase Manhattan Bank (now JP Morgan Chase Bank), National Westminster Bank and French American Banking Corp. In 1978 Michael was elected as Councilman for the City of Yonkers, New York, where he served for eight years. In 1990 Michael joined Rosenthal & Rosenthal, Inc. where he is currently Executive Vice President specializing in Business Development.   Rosenthal & Rosenthal, Inc. the principal unit of the Rosenthal Group (Rosenthal), is a privately held factoring and finance company. Recently named by Crains as one of the top ten privately held businesses in New York, Rosenthal provides Factoring, Asset-Based Lending and Specialty Lending to clients across a wide range of industries.    Rosenthal has earned an outstanding reputation for providing exceptional customer service and taking an entrepreneurial approach to creating customized financial solutions for unique business needs.

Michael Cirpirani also finds time in his busy professional life to work tirelessly for the Needler’s Foundation.  He is a former President, and currently serves as a Board Member. The Needler’s Foundation is a not-for-profit philanthropic organization, which contributes exclusively to children's charities.  Their primary goal is raising funds and bringing awareness to benefit pediatric neurosurgery and to help sick and underprivileged children.

The Annual Golden Lion Dinner is the premier event held by the New York Grand Lodge Foundation … a night to present the Golden Lion Award to prominent Italian Americans and to laud their many civic and philanthropic endeavors.  Michael F. Cipriani certainly met that goal this evening.  He exemplifies a man of deep commitment in both his professional and personal life.

The success of this event is so essential to the fund raising efforts of the New York Grand Lodge Foundation, Inc.  It is this Golden Lion Awards Dinner that allows us to continue to fund so many worthwhile charitable organizations such as Autism, Alzheimer’s and the Cooley’s Anemia Foundation.  The New York Grand Lodge Foundation also makes every effort to assist in the preservation of our Italian heritage by funding cultural events and encourage the study of Italian language.

Sincere thanks to our National and State Officers, filial lodges and special dignitaries for supporting this event. Whether you purchased a journal ad … or attended the dinner, your support of this main fund raising event of the New York Grand Lodge Foundation is sincerely appreciated.

We look forward to next year’s event when we celebrate the 31st Anniversary of New York OSIA’s Grand Lodge Foundation, Inc., Order Sons of Italy in America.
