The Order Sons of Italy in America (OSIA) was founded on June 22, 1905 at
203 Grand Street in New York City. An Italian immigrant, Dr. Vincenzo Sellaro,
and five compatriots; pharmacist Ludovico Ferrari, attorney Antonio Marzullo,
sculptor Giuseppe Carlino and barbers Pietro Viscardi
and Robert Merlo, created the organization to unite men and women of Italian
heritage under one banner in order to preserve and disseminate the large cultural
heritage of Italy. They also felt a need to promote and advance their progress everywhere
within the framework of American society.
OSIA has provided a community in which both men and women of Italian descent
have preserved and nurtured their Italian heritage. It continues to thrive, meeting
the initial objectives of its founders through a wide variety of community, cultural,
social, charitable, educational, patriotic and civic activities.

Our General Membership meetings are on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm at the
Seaford American Legion Hall 2301 Penatiquit Ave, Seaford, NY 11783
Our Board Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm
also at the Bellmore Library, Bedford Ave, Bellmore, all members welcome.
Yes, we may meet in Seaford, but our members are from Bellmore, Baldwin, Freeport, Levittown,
New members are always welcome and wanted..
Come - attend some meetings - make new friends....

We are looking forward to April 19th's general meeting.
This will be a very short meeting and then we will be have live entertainment by
the fantastic group Our Generation! Put on your boots and come on down!
Meeting will begin at 7:30 and music will start by 8:00.
We will be serving coffee and cake. If you would like to bring
snacks for your table or even to share, please feel free.
There is a cash bar if you so choose.
May 19, 2022 we will be holding our Annual Fashion Show and Fundraiser
