About Us

Le Amiche loosely translated means friends! The order was founded on December 3, 1983 by Genevieve Lembo along with a group of her paisans for the purpose of meeting regularly for social and community-oriented activities. As part of a larger group, OSDIA (Order of Sons and Daughters of Italy in America), we strive to provide a community in which women of Italian descent can preserve and nurture their Italian heritage through a wide variety of community, cultural, social, charitable, educational, patriotic and civic activities.
